The food is good ,portions are plentiful and friendly service is on point .plus the head cashier is always nice.
Some of the best food I have ever had in my life. The chicken pastry is exactly like my granny used to make and that is saying a lot! I've moved from Greenville but everytime I'm back in town I have to have a meal from here.

To me, this is the best restaurant in Greenville, North Carolina. They really give your money worth when they serve you and their prices are fair.
Very yummy soul food. I loved the cheesy broccoli and cheese, Mac & cheese, hamburger w gravy, hush puppies, turkey wings were a little tough but had nice seasoning, and iced tea. The line was long but worth it. They give you a lot of food, good lord! We will be back.
This was my first time dining at RJ's and I was not disappointed. They are not stingy with the portions of food, so come with a empty belly! I ordered the two meat dinner which consisted of chopped BBQ, a broiled turkey wing, Lima beans and Mac &cheese. My dinner also came with hush puppies! Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful. There's something about southern soul food that hits the "spot" much different than up north. This restaurant also has a plethora of meat and side options. So when I return in a few months, I'll try something else! All in all, my experience was great. The service I received from the employees was fast & friendly. Although the decor of the restaurant is a bit dated, everything else is great. Give RJ's a try if you're in the area!
Great local spot for north Carolina cooking, they have all kinds of entree, different types of bbq, roasted turkey wings, fried chicken and etc. Long line during lunch so you know locals like it. Their gravy is very salty so beware. Interior is old asf, the whole strip mall is outdated but you don't have to dine in. Most people order to go and enjoy the food at the comfort at their home.
